JKCET (Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test) is of course conducted through the Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) of the Jammu and Kashmir Board. Entrance examinations are conducted for a variety of programs such as undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional degree courses. JKCET admits students primarily into engineering courses on a pen and paper based test. Various courses are offered under BE/B.Tech such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.etc.
Important Highlights:
students must be at least 17 years old.
students should be permanent residents of J&K state.
Candidates must have passed the 10 + 2nd (or equivalent) examination from a recognized university or legal board with a major in Physics, Mathematics, English, and Chemistry.
A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination, including marks obtained by children of defense personnel, paramilitary forces, state police personnel, and students who excel in sports, are required.
Applicants can fill up the registration form online only.
Students make changes to the application form before submitting the application.
Students from SC / ST and other socially and educationally backward classes must achieve 40% or higher.
