Students who pass the SMAT (Sport Management Admission Test) are allowed to enroll at IISM for courses offered under the Sport Domain. In short, the candidates benefit from their knowledge concerning the culture, business, and industry of the game in order to perform well in this course. Since it is specially designed for game management, the focus is on how well the candidates can relate to the content of the course. The SMAT exam is divided into levels, specifying the level of understanding of game enthusiasts and the level of game management awareness. Undergraduate degree examinations and grading processes are different from postgraduate and PGP courses.

Students should be permanent residents of citizen of India
Candidates must have passed the 10 + 2nd (HSC) examination from a recognized university or legal board with a major in Physics, Mathematics, English, and Chemistry.
A passing grade of 50% is required to pass this examination under reserved category.
There is an eligibility test before the exam, which requires 45% for the general category of candidates, and 45% for SC / ST candidates.
